Bricklayr has won first place in the inaugural Tech Town Start studio cohort in Detroit.

We're happy to announce that Bricklayr has won first place in the inaugural Tech Town Start studio cohort in Detroit, a 12-week pilot program for Detroit-based tech entrepreneurs. Bricklayr went head to head against 11 other companies.

We had the opportunity to present to and receive feedback from judges including investors, providers, and senior executives from leading organizations such as Anna Brozek, CEO of Salt Lake City, Utah-based Big Cartel; Detroit Mobility Lab President Chris Thomas; Wendy Thomas, southeast region director for the Michigan Small Business Development Center; Lavea Brachman, Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation's vice president of programs; Lisa Katz, senior program officer for economic vitality and entrepreneurship at the William Davidson Foundation; and Paul Riser Jr., director of Detroit Urban Solutions at TechTown Detroit.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to revolutionize the way construction equipment is rented. Most importantly, we are excited about helping small and med-sized construction contractors. Countless hours of calling around to find better rates and reliable equipment can be saved, and project deadlines can be met if rental prices are accessible on one platform.” - Bricklayr CEO, Brian Pollyn.
