About Our Founder

As an experienced project manager, I’ve seen many issues in the construction equipment industry. I’ve done the work of contractors who manually call/email multiple rental companies to find the best rate. I’ve also used sites that list equipment but don’t seem to offer a reliable search, show a price, or display images of equipment. The time I spent finding the right equipment was only the first part of the problem, as other issues arose with unreliable delivery time, or customer service, which would cause further delays and loss of revenue. 

This Is Our Story

Building Bricklayr as an online platform has been much more than developing a website and software. We also put in the work to constantly build and maintain relationships within the construction industry. Keeping up to date on industry trends, attending various meetings, and construction conferences have been helpful in building our business relationships. The goal of every project manager is to save money and because of our involvement with construction communities that do the work, Bricklayr can do that for you. 

We started with the idea for Bricklayr because we wanted to provide people with a service and platform that could bring the reliability, efficiency, and transparency that we felt was lacking in the construction rental equipment industry. The groundwork for Bricklayr started with the mission to provide people with the best and most affordable equipment for their construction projects and our business goals have grown to include a focus on making an impact within our local communities.  We are also partnered with Wayne State University and TechTown in these efforts.

Our vision for the company is both local and national: for it to positively impact and add value to how work gets done in our local communities, and to be a part of improving the supply chain in the United States for as many projects as possible. We also value building a dedicated team at Bricklayr. From our rental fulfillment teams to our customer success teams, teamwork enables us to grow in productivity while also providing the best rental experience to our customers.
